Wow...what a day. It started out mundane enough, I got up a bit before lunchtime (don't bash me for that, I had to work until 3 a.m) and headed to campus to get some work done for my Final Cut class. I finished that around 4pm, and then I poked around at home for a while before heading off to hang out with Daniel Lowe for a bit before Crossroad started. Afterword, I was discussing my funding situation regarding the trip to Japan with everybody who had showed up, although a more accurate representation would be to say that I was being my usual defeatist self. I talked about the complete lack of funding that I had received (not 100% accurate, I got $100 from somebody) and just generally whining while everyone tried to encourage me. I sent an email to Norman a couple of days ago regarding the possibility of teaching English while there to help pay for my trip, but I hadn't gotten a response yet. In all honesty, I was frustrated, despondent, and at the brink of just giving up on this all together.

Well......when I got home I checked my email and saw a response from Norman (the missionary in charge of the program). He gleefully reported that somebody had offered to cover all of my expenses while in Japan, leaving only the cost of the plane ticket uncovered. There's the miracle I'd been asking for. I'm still completely floored by all of this, and in all honesty it hasn't really sunk in yet (I doubt it will for a couple of days). Now pardon me while I go hop up and down and sing like an idiot.
